Amazing, eating here first when we got to the area made it tough on the other places we ate later as this was such a great experience. Fresh oysters, delightful staff, fun atmosphere, fresh air dining, they have it going on. Skip the sauteed clams appetizer and just do oysters. We ate here on a weekend, it was very busy so we sat at the bar and were so glad we did. Super service, cheerful folks seated next to us, fun times! It is very pricey so choose your menu items carefully, as is often times the case in the area, much of the fresh fish simply says market price. We didn’t ask and were surprised by a hefty bill.

We like Tin Top. Food is good and new location has great water view. It is like a lot of restaurants in that sometimes everything is great and every now and then it is not. I had the grilled triger fish. The grill marks were so dark it overpowered the fish and half of it was too dry to eat. But I was concerned about that when I ordered it. My wife had it fried and it was perfect. Trigger needs to be sauteed in just a small amount of butter or olive oil or fried.

This place was recommended by a local on the beach. When we first put in to our GPS we were like where are we going ? We thought we were heading to the middle of nowhere. When we arrived we were just amazed of the atmosphere and menu. Had the Prime Rib, Lobster Bisque, Caesar Salad, and Red Snapper special. Strongly recommended and try and get there when there’s daylight / before sunset. Would definitely return if we revisit Gulf Shores.

We went with a party of 9 - expected a long wait, but it was pretty quick to get seated - we had Beth as our server and she was GREAT! We did it all drinks, oyster samplers, entree and desert! The fish of the day was trigger fish and it was delicious, like everything we had! The building is brand new - they have lots of options on the menu - overall, it was the best dining experience we had all week in the Gulf Shores area. It is a little drive to Bon Secour, but you will not regret it. I only have one suggest....get the parking lot paved or at least bring in some stones/gravel --- my SUV was a muddy mess (inside & out) when we left! But we'll be back!

Tin Top has been one of our favorite places to dine for many years. Today, my wife and I took the opportunity to pay them a visit for lunch at their new location, which is literally just down the road from their old location. We started off with the smoked tuna dip and a cup of lobster bisque. Both were fresh and seasoned just right. We shared the Tin Top seafood platter, which included one crab cake, 4 - 6 shrimp, 4 - 6 oysters, a large filet of white fish and 2 sides. We chose the fried green tomatoes and the seasoned green beans as our sides. The crab cakes were our favorite. They are fresh and are mostly crab meat with little breading. These crab cakes are fine. The oysters were lightly fried and were super tasty. The shrimp were fried perfectly with just a light seasoning. The fish filet was cooked with a perfectly golden brown crust. All of the food was cooked perfectly and was served piping hot. Oh, by the way their cocktail sauce and tartar sauce are house made and are delicious. As if that wasn't enough food, and believe me it was, we shared a piece of their house made Key Lime pie. This is a less tart version of the iconic dish, but the creamy texture and lime zest incorporated into the pie is awesome. Service was just a little slow, and understandably so, since they were packed, but that was okay because we were able to enjoy the outside seating over looking the water. Great location, great staff, and great food.

Delicious! A welcomed refreshing seafood restaurant. I had the fried platter and was the best shrimp and oysters I have had in a while. The fish was over coated with the batter but was perfect underneath. I had the grits as a side and lived them as well. The biscuits were a nice touch! I forgot what my wife's meal was but it had a piece of fresh fish patties with a crab cake and covered in a lobster sauce. It too was fabulous. She really liked her sides, fried Green tomatoes and Lima beans with andouille sausage. Shout out to the girls at Tommy Bahamas that recommended this place. We will return on our next trip through town!

Absolutely delightful restaurant experience. They have both inside and open air seating. The new location is beautiful. Tracy was our server and was so helpful on offering suggestions. Awesome selection of food. We went during lunch to take advantage of their specials. 2 of us had the trigger fish which was a daily special and it was probably the best fish I have ever eaten. The chicken thighs and ribeye are also highly recommended. We will make this a destination anytime we come back for vacation.
